Positive: A perfect hotel with an excellent location. There is a large swimming pool, a restaurant, breakfast, and the option to rent a motorbike. The rooms were exceptionally large and spacious.

Negative: I had a negative experience with the hotel staff. The woman at reception — I don’t know her name — was incompetent and unhelpful. She was unable to provide clear or satisfactory answers even to the simplest questions. Moreover, when I asked about things like currency exchange, she gave me incorrect and misleading information. She told me there was no money exchange in Tuk Tuk and that the nearest one was 7 km away, when in fact there was a money changer just a few dozen meters from the hotel. Similarly misleading were her answers regarding the ferry schedule to Parapat. I also found it very disappointing that the hotel didn’t inform me in advance about the ferry options to Samosir Island, which caused complications when booking and choosing the right ferry.

Positive: The location on Lake Toba is great! It is also near restaurants in Tuktuk. The property is quite large and seems to cater to tour groups. The breakfast is pretty generous.

Negative: The shower was never even lukewarm. The constant jet ski activity is pretty annoying. I’m not the hotel can do much about it. On the weekends be prepared for karaoke late into the night.

Summary: A good place if you just want to soak up Lake Toba and not much else.
