Summary: We stayed in two different rooms at The Thunderbird Lodge. The first was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice and strong. The second was not quite clean, and the lock on the door didn’t work, so we piled our luggage in front of the door before going to sleep. The best part, however, was that the hotel was right on the rim of the Grand Canyon- truly breathtaking.

Summary: Had to check in at hotel next to Thunderbird and parking was not easy as it was 1st come 1st serve. Views were amazing. Food at El Tovar was excellent! Rooms were rustic but clean and nice. Would stay there again.

Summary: The room was nice. It was old but expected. The fixtures were dated. The staff was terrific the location unbelievable. I’d stay there again.

Summary: Room was clean, staff was great. Lodge is showing it's age, we had to call to get the shower started. But the location is nice the Grand Canyon is right outside your window.

Summary: old space but well maintained. I loved having a hot bath after a cold hike! Room with partial view still had all the gorgeousness needed.

Summary: The room was very clean, well maintained and gave that rustic feeling. A perfect time of the year to go.

Summary: Room was adequate for our needs. Obviously this is an older property. Bathroom size was far from being adequate, but it is what it is.

Summary: It was a good choice we made. Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I would recommend to friends. Check-in instructions could’ve been more clear

Summary: Room was a bit smaller than expected and bathroom was tiny. No “common” room in the lodge and we only spent time sleeping in the lodge. All eating and chilling out was done in surrounding lodges. I wish I had done better research and booked a better hotel/lodge.
