Positive: This was a nice hotel with early breakfast service, which is great if you are trying to get to the Grand Canyon before the crowds arrive. The location is just minutes to the south rim entrance and is generally quiet and peaceful.

Negative: The continental breakfast was just okay, but there is a 20% coupon provided for hot breakfast across the street if that is preferred. We were able to secure a very discounted rate for the room which felt like an excellent value for the accommodations but I think if we had to pay the advertised room rate for this place ($250+) it would seem like less of a great deal.

Positive: Excellent breakfast with very accommodating staff. Room was clean and our request for extra linens was met quickly. It was quiet and a perfect location for visiting the Grand Canyon.

Negative: The configuration of a suite for 5 people. There were only two seats in the living room. A couch or sleeper sofa would be better. I slept in one of the chairs with ottoman pulled to it. Good thing I'm a small person. A three generation mix of 2 couples and a grandfather/father-in-law was awkward in this set up. The old man could not have climbed up into the top bunk ;) This is not enough to reduce my rating. It was just our situation, but good for future families to understand. The hotel otherwise was really good!
