Welcome to our neck of the woods where you are literally 5 minutes from the main entrance to Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim. The National Park is open year round and offer's exquisite views for all 4 seasons. Located in Tusayan Az.
Brand new Hardwood and Carpet recently installed and ongoing projects are expected to make this “the” place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon, minimalist but well appointed. New Master Bathroom!
Our bungalow sleeps 6 comfortably with room to stretch out if you need more space. With two full baths, a comfy living room and a well equipped full size kitchen with everything you'll need to cook (if you're so inclined) a full meal.
Commune with nature on the large front porch where you'll often times see deer and elk roaming the adjacent Forrest Service property.
NOTE: There is now air conditioning in the house, because of our altitude at nearly 7000 ft above sea level the nights are cool and the days are warm but generally not terribly hot, but we have a portable unit. .
Please keep in mind a few things:
The house is right in the middle of the National Forest which is terribly dusty with fine dirt everywhere, it is physically impossible to keep the dust/dirt out of the house especially during the windy season (most of the summer).
The weather in the summer is unpredictable with Monsoon season bringing heavy rain and wind, please plan accordingly. Winter is cold and snowy at times, generally blue blue sky and cold temperatures are normal with cold being in the 0-20 range and daytimes 30's and 40's remember we are at nearly 7,000 feet above sea level.
Critters, Varmints & Vermin are around all the time and they try their hardest to get into the house, we do our best to keep them out but occasionally a mouse will try to share the space, we cannot 100% prevent it from occurring. Keeping the Bobcats, Mountain Lions, Deer, Elk along with Ravens and Crows out is much easier but remember no trash can be left outside period.
You must have a complete profile prior to a booking request with a photo ID attached and verified thru VRBO. Your request will be denied without this information, this is for our safety and security and the safety of our staff and employees.

Summary: If you’re going to go to the Grand Canyon, particularly if you’re going to do some strenuous activity, staying in a cottage as opposed to a crowded lodge is a dream. Super convenient and comfortable. One pain point: the lighting in the house is inadequate. Would recommend 2-3 more strong lamps.

Summary: This home was perfect for our family vacation. It was warm, cozy and comfortable. Everyone had their own bedroom and with a kitchen and laundry, we had everything we needed. It's the closest location to the canyon outside of GCNP and very close to restaurants and a general store in Tusayan. The owner was very welcoming and responsive to messages. We had a great stay!

Summary: This was the perfect rental for our visit to the Grand Canyon. It is cozy with a stocked kitchen, very clean, nicely decorated and a short drive to the south rim. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. All around a pleasant place to stay.

Summary: This property was the perfect location for our weekend hiking trip in the Grand Canyon. You truly can’t get much closer to the park without actually being in the Grand Canyon! The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and we had enough room for our party of six. Communication with the owners was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Bungalow was perfect for our family. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and well maintained. The best feature was the proximity to the South rim entrance to the Grand Canyon! The host was great (promptly responded to any communication) and gave us many helpful hints on places to eat etc.

Summary: Awesome location and amenities, would recommend this place to anyone visiting the grand canyon! Only thing I will say is Tusayan’s food scene is very limited, next time I would plan to cook at the VRBO instead of eating at restaurants in the area. Good news is that Marty’s place is perfect for this approach.
