Positive: Lovely lady checked us in and showed us to our room. Room very clean, had everything we needed. Close to grand union canal walk. Pub doesn’t do food so we walked to wethies for dinner. Tuesday night so pub quiet, we slept very well, despite mattress being a bit thin.

Negative: Would always prefer white bed linen.

Summary: A good stopover.

Positive: Booked for my son and granddaughters for a single night. Very conveniently located and pleasant staff. I have booked rooms here for other members of my family and will use The White Horse again.

Negative: A bit noisy until pub closing time, but that is to be expected. An old building so the sound insulation is not good.

Positive: Basic, spacious room. Nice size en suite. It was perfect for us to just crash for the night. Plenty of options for food and drinks close by too, including breakfast in the morning.

Negative: The parking situation wasn't great, it was a narrow road with lots of cars already parked along, we felt lucky to find a place to park. Wouldn't put us off staying again though.
