Positive: We have stayed a quitevfew times and always love it. The accommodation is spotless and is very comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Visiting wildlife is a bonus.

Positive: Everything, it was clean intact spotless and all that we needed was there, e.g. bed linen, towels, washing up items. Etc

Negative: Sorry to have to say this, but a couple of dogs that were staying there, even tho friendly, we're not on a lead. I think that where there are other people and other dogs, they should always be kept on a lead and not allowed to run free in the grounds.

Positive: Clean, basic, not cluttered, pleasant and comforting. Fantastic self catering facilities, We were blessed with wonderful weather so spent most of our time enjoying the outside front lawn, perfect for alfresco dinning. We love the children can play freely whilst in view. They had endless adventures. We saw a deer and a badger and love the walk down to the Ferrier Pub and pull boat over the water. We had a relaxing break and enjoyed ever moment.

Negative: Nothing. I wouldn’t hesitate to return, we feel it’s good value for the area

Summary: This is our second visit to the paddock cottages.We love the affordability, location and calming effect of the cottages.

Positive: The location of these cute little cottages was absolutely perfect. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. We actually didn't realise there were any other guests. John was especially nice and allowed us to 'move in to' our cottage early as our original plans had changed.

Negative: Unfortunately, despite the property description stating that the cottages were suitable for someone in a wheelchair, this was not really the case. Upon arrival, I noted that there were 2 steps into the building. Unfortunately I was unable to negotiate them. John did provide a ramp when asked but i feel that this should have been there for our arrival, particularly as I had already messaged to explain I was in a wheelchair. Once inside the property it became obvious that I would not be able to get access into any room with my wheelchair and as an above knee amputee this was really a necessity. To gain access to each room I had to either use a series of chairs that I could move from one to another or I had to hop or swivel on my one leg holding on to doors, walls or furniture. My husband had to be with me everywhere I went and this also includes during the night which meant he was disturbed every time I needed to get to the bathroom. The issues with getting into the bedroom and living room could be easily remedied by moving the recliner chair in the living room so that the door could be opened fully and for the bedroom, the large wooden book case could be removed allowing complete access. Unfortunately this would still leave the issues with gaining access to the bathroom. Alongside the issues of getting into the bathroom I was also unable to access the shower despite it being advertised as a walk-in shower, unfortunately this isn't the case.

Summary: Beautiful cottage, however NOT suitable for anyone in a wheelchair!

Positive: Fantastic location and flexible for a group of friends (we had two cottages for five). Very warm, cosy and comfortable. Well equipped with everything you need. Very comfortable beds and great quality linen, towels and toiletries. Great walks on the doorstep and good pubs with delicious menus within a few minutes walk.

Summary: A great Nee Year break with friends in a beautiful location.
