Positive: Reception staff were very friendly, restaurant staff need work all of them wearing dirty scruffy trainers and the lady wasn't friendly we only asked for some more vinegar and mayonnaise as the ones she gave us were empty. She was blunt and kept huffing and puffing. Rooms were very dated and no pressure in the shower just a trickle of water. I think an iron in every room would be great and thinner duvets they were so heavy and warm. The location was perfect although there was scaffolding outside our window which is fine as I know at times work may be needed to be carried out.
Negative: Some staff members weren't friendly and looked scruffy, rooms were very dated and facilities could do with an upgrade. Front of house staff were lovely and very friendly

Positive: The location was stunning with plenty to do within walking distance, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and very good quality, and it was reasonably priced!
Negative: The room we were in (room 8) was slightly dated

Positive: Location, room, food, staff, facilities - everything the hotel provided was amazing, thank you Especially as the staff were so kind and understanding as we had our 17 month old with us. We will be staying again, and are considering looking at the venue to host our wedding too.
Negative: We unfortunately had workmen on the roof above us during the daytime, which wasn’t ideal with a baby as he needed to nap during the day. But we do understand work has to be done and this was a weekday stay in April so not a massive issue for us, plus other than that everything was absolutely amazing.
Summary: Fantastic place to stay, location is beautiful, staff facilities and food fantastic, will be back

Positive: The staff were absolutely fantastic, professional and friendly. The assistance offered was second to none.
Negative: The WiFi could have been better to aid with emails and calls. I appreciate that it was available in the public areas but in the room would have been nice too.

Positive: Absolutely fabulous 2 days..location is of dreams on a sunny day which we had. Lots local walks even for the older not so fit.. staff here were so welcoming and friendly throughout the stay..nothing too much trouble. Don't be tempted to eat else where the royal is definitely the best meal we had... we made a mistake by trying else where last night. It couldn't compare.. We will definitely be back... thankyou ladies and chef... memory's were made x

Positive: Fantastic Stay! Staff were super friendly and helpful would highly recommend! The room was clean, spacious and just what we needed for a short stay!
Negative: If I had to be really picky I would say the price of food and drink was a little high (although its comparative to other establishments in the area) and the shower could be more powerful but I accept water pressure isn't always great in the countryside and to be expected.
Summary: I would happily stay again!
