Positive: The staff were great. We were brought fresh milk for our tea in the room as soon as we arrived and were given help with going to view the Cerne Abbas giant. The room was really comfortable and warm; the breakfast was excellent. All round a lovely stay and we’d definitely return there if in the area.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Food in the restaurant was excellent, great cooking, well presented and good value. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff were exceptional.

Positive: As base for sightseeing a visit it couldn't be more perfect. Parking space is always a boon and the breakfast (included in the deal) really was top tier. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Beer is supplied by a local brewery and the IPA was very good, possibly too good... There are also two other pubs within throwing distance, which is handy if there is a function on as there was when I visited, but the staff were most accommodating and perfectly friendly despite being extra busy.

Negative: Very little to complain about.

Summary: Enjoyable and great value stay in a charming 400+ year hotel at the foot a giant.

Positive: Everything was amazing. The food, the warm welcome, the room, the beer was the best I've had in years. There is nothing I can fault. Can't wait to go back.
