Positive: Host was attentive from our arrival, offering us advice on where to get an evening meal that night and after showing us our lovely room, he asked our preferences on breakfast time and food and without question agreed to our preference. Breakfast room was identified and the next morning prompt our breakfast was served - hot full English with additional fruit, cereal, toast etc. Really lovely old furnished property but with up to date bathroom and lovely comfy bed. Heating was on so lovely and warm. An especially nice touch was after our evening meal, our goat has put an ice cold bottle of water and a small bottle of milk in a flask of ice, which was a lovely gesture for a late night and early morning brewm

Negative: Nothing to dislike. It is a lovely old property with a lovely host. Would recommend and stay again

Positive: Our host, Angus, was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The Gables is a beautiful house in an attractive location. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Parking was easy.

Negative: There isn't really anything we didn't like. Perhaps being a bit nearer a pub for food would have been good.

Positive: Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, super-king bed, excellent bathroom, good breakfasts and wi-fi had good connection and ease of login.

Negative: Nothing really but perhaps a more comfortable sitting chair in the bedroom would have been a nice touch. Having said that, there is an absolutely enormous lounge with very comfortable sofas.

Summary: Clean, bright, warm, elegant, period B&B. Good value.

Positive: Bright clean rooms in a beautiful property. Plenty of hot water. We were asked what time we would like breakfast which we appreciated. Had items I requested ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Property was is glorious countryside. Plenty of parking directly outside the property. Owners were very friendly but respectful of our privacy too. Lovely couple......

Positive: Angus, our host, was very welcoming, and spent a lot of time giving us hints on where to eat and what to see. The property is beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and was tailored to our tastes.

Negative: Nothing at all. For perfection we would have loved to be able to walk to an eatery or pub, but it would be churlish of us to criticise the location as we chose to go there.

Summary: Great property, great host. Would book again.
