Summary: There are many cabins, but I was given one of the oldest, even though I paid the same high price as the cabin shown in the advertisement. My biggest complaint was the furnace, which would turn on every 10 seconds and make a loud banging noise, making it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The batteries were not a major issue, but considering how much you pay, everything should be in proper working order.

Summary: Our cabin was lovely, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Summary: Checked in at 9pm, front desk locked, a bit confusing directions. Old worn out cabin, with awkward addition. Bathroom was clean. Bedding was older but clean. For price was a bit let down. But it served purpose of not sleeping in the truck.. I think there are better options in town

Summary: Hot water was only available in the morning - evenings the water was just temperate . Presume to many guests using the facility. Requested rollaway bed never materialized. All in all way too expensive for what was offered.

Summary: We rated the Texan resort excellent because it was exactly as described by the owners- these are rustic log cabins in Lake City, which is one of only 2 cities on Hwy 149- there are no name brand hotels to choose from and if there were we would still choose here again. The check in process was as described , so was the need for guests to take out their trash and wipe down the kitchen tops- the site was quite and quiet times were respected by everybody- it is a well known place for off roading and their are many of them staying there, they rolled through the campsite at the designated 2.5 miles an hour, causing no noise issues at all. If anyone went out at night we dident hear them, cabin was spotless and all kitchen equipment provided, everything you need including outside chairs and table. It’s not the Hyatt it is a quaint cabin in the woods, just like they describe it

Summary: Second year staying here for SJS50. Staff is great and the property offers everything we could possibly need.

Summary: The property is rustic but comfortable; however, overpriced for what you receive.
