Positive: Mango house was a great homestay whilst I was volunteering in the area for 2 weeks. The family are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and I was always asked what I’d like the night before (egg hoppers were my favourite). Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. My room was cleaned and bedding changed during my stay, the WiFi worked with no issues. So close to the beach, limited places to eat during low season but the family offered me dinner and would plate up any food I bought home after work to eat in the evenings. Would definitely recommend staying.

I had a fantastic time staying there, they were so welcoming and kind and very accommodating making me lovely breakfast early before work. One night I ate dinner at the guesthouse and it was the most delicious food I have eaten so far in Sri Lanka! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and wishing you all the best.

Positive: I had the perfect stay at Mango House. It's a lovely house tucked behind the road into Talalla with a pretty garden & lovely seating area. The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom, nice bedding & a good mosquito net. It was especially nice to have a desk & chair. Breakfasts were delicious & an extra treat to watch the monkeys on their daily route to the roof tops. The family were so kind and accommodated my early rising for yoga with delicious juices : ) and I met some other lovely guests. They truly made us feel at home and very welcome. I was sorry I'd not discovered dinner was possible until my last night - my friend and I were served a delicious selection of curries. Such a pleasure to meet this lovely family & to share their home. They really cared that you had a good stay. The beach is just a short walk away & great shop nearby too. Great value and a warm welcome for the budget traveller.

Positive: I'm so happy, that we decided to stay in Talalla and in Mango House. It was the best accommodation during our whole holiday in Sri Lanka. The family is so friendly, helpful and we felt welcome from the first minute. They do everything, that their guests feel good. After arrival we got fresh fruit juices, also my little son. I was travelling alone with a almost 3 year old toddler and that was the only accommodation, who provided him breakfast too. The breakfast was every day different and they cooked the best curry for us. Everything to am extraordinary price. In the neighbourhood are also kids to play. The location is fantastic, very close to the best side of Talalla Beach, the best beach in our journey too. It was just planned as an overnight stay but we extended for 5 nights. If possible, we would have stayed even longer. Many thanks yo this family!
