Positive: Amazing breakfast. Loved the quiet location. The family was very friendly and helpful. The internet connection was reasonable but not enough if you are working away.
Negative: There is a very noisy hotel and a religious service nearby that can keep you awake. Also dogs barking and peacocks but hey - it's Sri Lanka!

Positive: Talalla is a very quiet little village, which suited me perfectly. The house was a 2-minute walk from the beach, and one minute from a little shop which provided everything basic. Several restaurants were also within walking distance, but as it was off-season, some of the places were closed. The host provided a delicious breakfast and dinner on request.
Negative: This is Sri Lanka, so there was quite a lot of noise around - from another hotel, a temple, the dogs and peacocks. None of it bothered me, though.
Summary: Perfect place surrounded by nature, a quaint little village and amazing hosts. And a cute dog.

Negative: The room was small. There is no window but a door to a private balcony that has no mosquito net so no movement of air most of the day

Positive: I very much enjoyed my almost two-week stay at BnB Talalla. The hosts, Lakshman and Nelka, are kind and attentive, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. My room was spotlessly clean, the beach is very close, and the meals were excellent — both breakfast and dinner were fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. Nelka prepared dinner exactly as I had requested, which I greatly appreciated. A truly lovely place to stay in Talalla.
