Positive: Delightful place right on the beach with the most spectacular view . Nilmini the bungalow caretaker is such an amazing holiday mom! She makes delicious meals and takes great care of you .

Negative: It was April so it was quite hot without AC but should be fine in the other months !

Positive: Talalla Bay Beach House is a gem and I felt really happy to be staying there. Emma was absolutely wonderful in communication even before my stay had started which gave me such a great peace of mind before travelling. The location is idyllic, set in the trees overlooking the beautiful beach and sea. You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing which is so relaxing. To get to the property you walk across the beach and the hosts helped me with my bags which was great and super helpful. Also, as a solo female traveller, I really appreciated the guard keeping a look out when I came back later in the evening when it was dark along the beach. Nilmini's food was absolutely wonderful, home cooked style vegetable curries and rice. Some of the best food I ate in Sri Lanka. Overall, it felt like a (beautiful) home away from home during my travels.

Negative: There was nothing I didn't like. I would only say an improvement would be a little TLC in the bathroom perhaps but everything really was gorgeous.

Positive: Location, location, location. It was literally three paces, then 10 steps and you’re on the beach/in the sea. The beach is outstanding, very clean and quiet. Highly recommend eating at the house as all the food is cooked fresh, takes them about three hours, and is absolutely delicious.

Negative: The only thing to bear in mind is because you are right by the sea, everything is very slightly damp all the time. Not a complaint just to make you aware.

Positive: We felt very lucky to be staying in such an idyllic place: the best view, incredibly delicious food and lovely ladies looking after us. We loved waking up at sunrise and going for walks along the beach and having many heavenly swims in the sea.

Positive: Amazing location (i think the best on Talalla beach), hosts are amazing and breakfast is very good. We highly recommend this accomodation and if one day we are back to Talalla, we will be there again.

Negative: Our room was a bit tiny for two people and no space for a minium of storage.

Positive: Beautiful location right by the sea. Nilmini, Francis and Manuel were amazing, so helpful and friendly and Nilmini is an amazing cook! Try her mango and aubergine curries.

Negative: Slightly pricier than some other guest houses we've stayed in but the location can't be beaten! Was well worth it!

From the moment we arrived, we're impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place, as well as the attentive and friendly hosts. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the gorgeous beach, which was just steps away from the guest house. The sand was soft and clean, and the water was crystal clear and perfect for swimming. Whether we wanted to simply relax on the beach with a good book or take a refreshing swim, we always felt comfortable and at ease in this beautiful setting. The guest house also had excellent food that surpassed our expectations. Every meal was delicious and prepared with care, featuring a variety of fresh and local ingredients. Whether we were in the mood for seafood, vegetables, or something sweet, our hosts Nilmini and Manel always delivered an amazing culinary experience. Finally, we cannot say enough about the helpful and friendly hosts who made our stay so memorable. Thank you Nilmini, Manel, Francis, Vimale and Emma! We can't wait to visit you again!
