Positive: The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was oddly placed. After staying in older hotels with lots of charm, this was quite modern. I felt it made a great business trip hotel. Very nicely located to old town.

Positive: Spacious and well maintained with free mini bar. Very comfortable bed and bedsheets. The hotel provided a free tram ticket for our stay.

Negative: The entrance to the bathroom was a sliding glass door - it rattled quite a bit when opening and closing. A solid door would have been better. Location wise, there was a big renovation of a bridge so not so accessible with public transport.

Positive: It's always a pleasure to visit the Kursaal in Bern. The hotel is well situated near the center of Bern, the restaurant and food are great, the breakfast is amazing, the staff is helpful and the beds are very comfortable.

Negative: We've been to the Kursaal a few times over the past few years and always had a great time there. Just this time was a bit different as we got a bedroom without any outside view (see photos below) and the bathroom looked a bit like in a hospital and could use some renovation. It was the first time I didn't feel that I got the value for the money. Next time I'll make sure to request a bedroom with a window on the outside.
