THE VIEWS DO NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS! This photo was taken from the dining room table one evening. We recently have been watching the whales from the same dining room table. The panoramic views are breathtaking, whether from the home, the spa, or walking along the beach or picnicking on the bluff. Watch the ocean transform from sunrise to sunset, with the Mendocino Lost Coast framing the horizon. Enjoy a romantic or family-friendly stay in our contemporary home on 5 ocean-front acres. In the evenings enjoy the wood burning stove, or watch the stars and listen to the ocean from the comfort of the hot tub. Walk along the many beaches stretching along the Ocean, and enjoy the tidal pools, seals and vistas. The property shares the private beach shown in the photo, and has it's own private cove, accessible at low tide and known for the sea glass to be found in its sands.
The nearby seaside village of Westport makes for a pleasant walk. There is a small store in the adjoining campground with essentials, and a quaint store in the village. We are comfortably far from shopping malls and fast food, and very close to the ocean waves and the stars.

Summary: Came to relax and unwind from a 4 month case of cabin fever following foot surgery.This is my third stay at Sweet Cove. I'll be returning again in August with my two sons. I am still recovering from foot surgery and currently have limited mobility. I'm using a knee scooter and this Cottage was so easy for me to get around. All one level except for one step down to the deck which I was able to easily manage.As usual, the kitchen is well appointed and the cottage is very clean. Since I was not able to walk on the beach this time, it was nice to have a lovely view of it. Dan is a wonderful host and gives you all the information you will need for a no hassle check-in and information regarding what is in the area. Can't wait to return in a couple of months!Anita

Summary: This was our third time staying here and we always have a great time! We take our two small dogs with us and they were also happy to be back. It was quiet at the cottage (except for when the bear tried to get into the garbage at 2am) and we almost had the beach to ourselves. Hope to return soon!

Summary: This place is amazing! From the views to the location and the property it’s just perfect. We stayed from Thursday to Monday and only left one time to get a sandwich from the General Store in Westport. The sandwiches were great and definitely recommended. I can’t say enough about the place and we enjoyed every second! Thanks!

Summary: This cottage was absolutely amazing, and perfectly suited my need for a beautiful, comfortable environment in which to rest and dream. The house was clean and well kept, and I’m not sure there could be a better setting for a small VRBO on the entire California coast. The owner was responsive and caring. Wonderful!!!

Summary: A wonderful 3 day getaway. Sunsets from the deck were glorious. Love off season, we had the beach to ourselves. The best view from any kitchen sink I've seen.. We slept like logs on the comfy bed. Loved the security of the fenced yard for our pups.
