Summary: This home is just perfection. So secluded, and the photos do not do justice to the experience of being surrounded by the water on all sides. It was an amazing spot to stay during our elopement in Santa Barbara.

Summary: This house is beautiful. The interior and deck are really amazing and unique and truly delightful. A great place to stay! A couple of considerations for those who come after us. Parking for the property is up a very steep hill. Normally I wouldn’t be concerned but have an upcoming knee surgery and it was a little interesting getting in and out. Also, the house is above a seawall and the surf can be quite loud, particularly with the windows open (which was a bit of a requirement as there is no AC). That being said I have no actual complaints about the house. It is one of the coolest oceanfront houses I’ve ever been in and we loved it. It was perfect for what we needed and I’d definitely recommend it.

Summary: This property (Unit A) is a pure aesthetic experience of the pacific ocean. We stayed in good weather and were mesmerized by the early morning fog, moonlit water, golden afternoon light. The architecture provides beautiful simplicity. You couldn't pay for better seats at a fancy restaurant so you might was well eat in. I want everyone I know and care about to have some time to relax there. The cedar shake clad midcentury style property is tucked out of site down a long steep hill.

Summary: The house was really nice. The kitchen was not equipped for cooking all meals. Knives are dull, the oven is small and two electric burners. We were fine not wearing shoes since we don't in our own homes, but the cleanig crew did not clean the floors well. Debris in corners and was not mopped. The bottoms of our feet were really dirty after 10 minutes in the house. I had to go out and buy slippers to wear in the house.

Summary: A dramatic place that certainly was unique. I had pulled a muscle in my leg right before our stay. We were not aware that the walk from parking the car to the unit was quite a steep grade. That made our visit a bit of a challenge with bags in tow. Next issue, which may not bother some, it was hot. There were some fans but it made for sleepless nights. Maybe we need to toughen up a bit. It was a surprise. I grew up on the beach and I don't think we had AC either. But this was different. Finally, lots and lots of ants. It's the beach and stuff happens but this was a surprise, too. Those gripes aside, the place is unique and remarkable. If you like the ocean and love some drama this place is awesome.

Summary: The house is beautiful, fantastic view over the water. The one thing I feel should be made clear - a VERY steep driveway (200+ feet)which we were not made aware of. The problem being, you are expected to walk up and down this driveway - day or night. If someone has any mobility issues or bringing in large, heavy suitcases this is a huge problem. We did figure out that we could move the traffic cone, drive down to deliver passengers and suitcases and turn around to drive back up and park. But those are not the instructions - park at the top. The host was very responsive to every request, but that driveway should be noted in the listing or when booking.
