Positive: Stable Barn is a beautiful little cottage. Very comfortable, clean and with everything you need for a lovely stay in the Lake District. Fiona is very welcoming and has put a lot of thought into the site.

Negative: The only drawback is that it didn't feel as private as we expected as people staying in the cottage next door were constantly walking past the large window. And on Saturday afternoon a group of about 6 other guests sat outside fairly near to us making us feel uncomfortable as they were seated pointing towards us. It did feel like we didn't have any privacy and they were quite noisy at one point. Not the fault of the owners by the way!

Positive: Beautiful location, cosy feel.

Negative: We could have done with an extra mattress for the baby cot as the one that came with the travel cot was quite hard, however we made a makeshift one and the baby slept well.

Positive: Stable Barn was well equipped for our weekend family stay. The house was spacious and comfortable, in the perfect location for exploring this area of the lake district. We will definitely be back as we didn't want to leave!

Positive: This property is better in reality than even the photos suggest.

Negative: The path leading up to the property was a little bumpy however during our stay they rectified it. Please don’t let this put you off.
