Positive: This property exceeds its description. It is beautiful as a cottage, in a beautiful location. Very well equipped, stunning views and the owners are available should there be any issues. The first property we’ve been to in many years that did not disappoint in any way.

Positive: The most magnificent view. Everything we needed for a great stay (except more time).

Negative: Suggestion already shared - a grab rail in the bath for getting in and out for those with mobility issues.

Positive: The view and local hotel for meals

Negative: Kitchen facilities were not good .no decent sized matching mugs, frying pan no longer non stick. Fridge not operating correctly suspect thermostat problem. Electricity cuts out often-earth leakage? Clothes dryer not working Clothes pegs in basket all rusty Paintwork and furnishings tired This was our 4th cottage in Scotland and the only one to disappoint. I thought all electrical applications had to be certified in holiday lets

Positive: Location! Stunning views of the bay. Of course we had to get about and explore Isle of Skye in our car but honestly we could have stayed at Solas and just looked out at the living rooms all week and felt we had our monies worth!!! Cosy kitchen. All implements for modern living in perfect working order (induction cooker, fridge, heating [which we never needed], warm towel rack, soft pillows and duvet etc) (A massive Smart TV in the living room if you fancied it- with Netflix etc- I just used it to listen to BBC 6 Music!)

Negative: Nothing really. The upstairs bedrooms are low in height so you a bit of a stoop needed to get in if you are tall- but makes for two cosy rooms and besides we spent all out time in the spacious living room and only went upstairs to sleep!!!

Summary: Value for money. Wonderful views from living room. Clean cottage with all mod cons for comfort!

Positive: Stunning location fabulous spacious lounge and well equipped kitchen Lovely and warm. Lovely friendly horses at bottom of garden🌟very peaceful .Wonderful weather for the time of year

Negative: Personally having stayed at many other holiday let’s on Skye we felt slightly uncomfortable with the personal items on display If it is being run as a business then to us we felt interlopers in someone’s home which we did not like We felt some items a little pretentious The bathroom could do with a little modernisation but was adequate Larger bath towels would have been better The fridge setting was too cold and ruined some fresh food stuffs by freezing them eg tomatoes, peppers, and cold meats had to be binned We were surprised that more basics were not included We did not mind no welcome pack as we arrived fully stocked and never presume/expect such things despite often being provided elsewhere nowadays but eg not a single spare bin-bag(which I had not anticipated) or any cleaning materials to clean the bathroom during our stay etc I have never taken items like these to a holiday let as always provided
