A fully refurbished traditional bijou croft house built in circa 1900 by local craftsman in village stone. The Croft House has stunning panoramic sea views across the Sound of Sleat to the Knoydart peninsula. The entrance porch provides plenty of hanging space for coats and shoes and gives access to the hall with the kitchen to the left and living room to the right. The fully equipped Ashley Ann kitchen comprises an induction hob and double electric oven and dining table and flat screen TV with Freeview. The welcoming, snug sitting room has a wood-burning stove and flatscreen Smart TV with Freesat and also a DVD player. The ground floor has underfloor heating throughout and Fired Earth limestone flags. There is a utility room with washing machine and clothes drying rack. Upstairs, we have created one luxury bedroom with ensuite shower room, separate full size dressing room with lots of storage, full length mirror and dressing table. There is also a designer bathroom with double ended bath and views over the garden and the Sound of Sleat.
Our luxurious properties comprise a one-bedroom cottage and a newly built studio apartment.
They are designed for couples looking for an indulgent romantic break. Set in the stunning coastal village of Camuscross, conveniently located half way between the Mallaig to Armadale ferry and the Skye Bridge. The village has a quaint pub and restaurant and only 5 minutes away by car is the famous Kinloch Lodge for that special holiday meal. The town of Broadford is only 10 minutes away and has all the amenities that you would need during your stay.
Our Croft cottage has a mixture of contemporary and antique furniture, one king-size bed and bespoke fabrics and finishes. The cottage boasts a fully equipped ‘Ashley Ann’ luxury fitted kitchen made here in Scotland, underfloor heating, ‘Fired Earth’ limestone flooring throughout the ground floor, an induction hob, double electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and wood burning stove.
The Cúil is a newly built, contemporary, luxurious one bedroom studio apartment. Inside, the open plan studio comprises one king-size bed, a seating / dining space, a compact kitchen with fridge, microwave and two burner induction hob and a luxurious shower room with main pressure rain shower and Fired Earth limestone floor. The Cúil also benefits from an elevated private decking area with breath-taking views. The large sliding patio doors flood the studio with light and the views can be enjoyed from the comfort of the king-size bed.
The Croft and The Cúil are two individual luxury spaces on the beautiful Sleat peninsula of Skye overlooking The Sound of Sleat. Sleat is known as ‘The Garden of Skye’. The views from both properties are breath-taking.

Summary: Could not have been happier with Thistles on Skye and the owner, David. It was clean, very comfortable and lots of attention to detail. David was an amazing host full of information on restaurants, places to see and tours to take. The house was a bit secluded so took some time to drive to places on the island but that was part of the charm. It was quiet and tranquil with absolutely AMAZING views. I would highly recommend this place. You WON’T be disappointed.

Summary: AMAZING! The fantastic views, the beautiful house, and wonderful hosts. The home was spotless, and displayed incredible attention to detail.The kitchen was superb, the fireplace was cozy, and the fine linens and textiles were a fine touch. A second bathroom with a soaker tub overlooking the mountains, sublime! Places to walk, very convenient to ferries, and indescribable scenery all around. David had great suggestions for nearby activities and great places to eat. We will definitely be back!

Summary: Our second visit to the Croft. It is in a peaceful location and perfectly placed for exploring the Island. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Really good shower in the en suite and fantastic views from the bath! The garden is beautiful with stunning views, the perfect place to sit and relax. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you may need. It was lovely to meet the owners this time (and their friendly dog!) who were very helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

Summary: The Croft is like a home from home. Furnished with beautiful touches of style and thought, everything you could possibly need is provided, even a jug of the owners milk when I was in need of a cuppa! Summary: We stayed in The Croft, which was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The garden was huge, with far reaching views over the water and surrounding hills which made for fantastic sunrise/sunset views. We found The Croft perfect for exploring Skye, and the hosts went out of their way to make us very welcome, and assist us with various aspects of our stay. Highly recommend!

Summary: We stayed at Thistles for three nights on our 'minimoon' and had an amazing time. David and Frances are great hosts and had thought of everything we might need. The finishings in the room are luxurious and the breakfasts were amazing (as were the homemade chocolate brownies!). We ate out at three different local restaurants and enjoyed them all. Would highly recommend for a visit to Skye.
