Summary: It was a very special time for us to be in Michele and Mijo’s “La Vista” for our winter rental of nearly 3 months. The house is one of the most attractive we’ve rented during almost 50 years of travel. It has everything in the ways of convenience and need--- roominess, comfortable furnishings, well-stocked kitchen, washing machine, reliable high-speed internet, convenient parking in front of the house. Too, there are delightful hangings and prints on the walls; a wonderful variety of objects on shelves; and a full range of books of literature, maps, and information on the area. In the morning you wake to a view of the small valley below with Mont Sainte-Victoire towering above (a stunning sight that is panoramic from the lovely terrace); and when you return in late afternoon the house is flooded with light and warmth. The family-centered and community-centered village is charming and lively with the village market open for basic needs 7 days a week. The area is a hiker’s delight with many, many trails in the surrounding hills and mountains. Beyond Vauvenargues, the region is richly filled with villages, towns, and varied landscapes. And only 20 minutes away by bus is Cezanne’s Aix with its history, art, architecture, culture, markets, squares, fountains, shops. Added to all of this was the kindness and thoughtfulness of Christine, who cares for the house. Simply put: our entire stay, day after day, was pure pleasure.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a particularly clean and comfortable house. It was exactly as described on the site and we support the many positive reviews. A good deal of thought has been devoted to making available many of the small things one need to live in a home for an extended period. Christine was attentive to our needs and presents the house beautifully. While the village is quiet it provides all one needs and the supermarket is a 10 minute drive. The village shop has all the basics and the restaurant provides good meals.

Summary: As above, would recommend this property. HOWEVER, I AM STILL AWAITING MY REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT.

Summary: We really enjoyed our getaway in the little village of Vauvenargues. The house has 2 bedrooms: one on the bottom floor, the other on the top (3rd) floor. Both have bathrooms and comfortable beds. The middle level has a well equipped kitchen and a living area that opens to a balcony with a lovely view of Picasso's Castle and Mont Sainte-Victoire. A private parking spot is in front of the house, but don't have too large a car. The car must fit between a post and a tree. Anne Marie, our contact for the house, was delightful, although she did not speak English. She was very helpful, nevertheless. We made this our base for day trips to Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Cassis, and the Luberon. There is a Spar market just down the street that opened at 8:30. It is small, but has the essentials, including fresh croissants in the morning. There are 2 restaurants. We didn't try the pizza place which was open for coffee in the morning, but we ate at the Moroccan restaurant. It was fine. If you want a tagine, you must order 12 hours ahead, I think. (My french is not very good, so I might have that wrong.) There was also a bar down the street that was open, but we didn't go there.

Summary: This home is very well appointed with comfortable beds, great showers, and a fantastic kitchen. It is close to Aix en Provence but still maintains a village feel. The views are beautiful and there is a great grocery store and bar. There are two restaurants but they were closed during our stay. If you like to hike, there are great hiking trails with trail heads at the village. We had a wonderful vacation and plan to return to this same rental property in the future.

Summary: Two wonderful weeks ( last two weeks of September 2016 ) in a supberb location. Super weather every single day. Small but nice little village close to Aix en Provence ( 15 min. by car ). Small but efficient little Super Market up the road. The place is spot clean, really well furnished and there is nothing missing at all and everything is function perfectly. Really calm at nights, so no problem to have a good night sleep. Unfortunately both Restaurants in the village were shut, while we were there. For sure we would come back. Kind Regards Ann & Uli ( Germany )

Summary: This three story house was a pleasure to stay in. It overlooks a valley with Mont St Victoria as a backdrop. The village has a good little grocery store for all the essentials. There is hourly bus service with multiple pick up and drop off points to and from Aix which saves you the hassles of parking. There is a reserved parking spot in front of the house. The furnishings are of good quality, (thank you IKEA) and we found everything we needed for our two week stay. There are wonderful and well marked hiking trails that start at the village. We would stay again.
