Positive: We had a lovely stay of two nights at this Guest House. Iain was kindness itself. We enjoyed breakfast in the common area/room very much, I think we tried all options and they were all delicious.

Positive: A beautiful and quiet corner of Skye. Iain was a wonderful host and the breakfasts superb.

Negative: Nothing really but for informatiion, the room is quite small ( and very cosy) but more than made up for by the spacious and besutifully decorated living room and deck with views over the sea to Raasay.

Positive: Iain and Jacky’s home is understandably popular with UK and international guests. Set in an idyllic location overlooking a beautiful inlet, it provides an excellent base from which to explore Skye. This is a cosy, interesting and welcoming place with spacious guest lounge, amazing views and fantastic breakfast with homemade marmalade and eggs from their own chickens. We definitely recommend staying with Iain and Jacky and would be pleased to do so again

Positive: Beautifully kept property in a dream picture perfect location overlooking the bay of the lock, rooms were lovely and comfortable and there is an homely and warm lounge location to relax in, in-front of a log burner in the evening and morning, the owners of the this property were our highlight, lovely to speak to and really enjoyed having a good chat, they couldn’t do enough for us during our stay, the breakfast was amazing we were looking for a full English but the menu was even better and French toast and bacon with maple syrup was perfect !!

Summary: Short stay to take in the beautiful location near Portree, a great escape from life for ourselves.

Positive: The room and the breakfast/gathering area were both really nice but what sets this place apart are the hosts who are discreet if you want that but also chock-full of information and eager to share about their lovely town. The breakfast, which is served according to your schedule was delicious. The eggs are from their own chickens. It is about a 10 minute drive into the town but that was absolutely no problem. In fact, we thought it was a plus as we got to see gorgeous countryside and farm animals and stunning views during each trip. The location was also great because you really only go into Portree to perhaps have dinner and listen to the wonderful live music. During the day you will be traveling to the outrageously gorgeous sites on this island. I would love to come back.
