Positive: Very practical use of space! Facilities were great and very modern. Owners were thoughtful and accommodating. The sauna that is free to use was an awesome experience.

Negative: Not an issue as we only stayed for 2 nights but the place was a little cramped with 2 adults and 2 kids.

Positive: The unit was very clean, comfortable, including all the amenities that you would need for a home-stay or just to have relaxing rest after a long day exploring Nikko. We went in November and it gets really cold at night, the unit was quick to warm up and the sauna is definitely a plus. 10/10 Recommend for short or long stays.

Positive: Would be a Eleven if not for me.needing to get up from my bed to turn off the lights. Otherwise very convenient location and picturesque place. The room had all the amenities I would need to just bunk in and avoid eating out if I wanted to. Supermarket was a short drive away. The Unesco World Heritage area was just a short walk away. Lawson as well as a few restaurants were also a short walk away. Highly recomended to base out off in Nikko for a hiking trip...

Positive: Quiet, well equipped kitchen, outstanding location near main sites (top tip - get to the sites first thing to beat the crowds, thank me later), didn't meet the owners but they were super responsive and helpful over email, sauna was awesome

Negative: The suite has shower/bath in separate building which isn't ideal in November (note the two studios have attached bathrooms), also roof is really low above main bed which means you need to hunch over when moving around (they put up a bed on the ground floor for our second night which worked much better)

Positive: Perfect location for walking to various tourist spots and sightseeing. Very clean and thoughtful amenities. Fast wi-fi. You can hear the river with the windows open!

Negative: The ceiling to the loft area was pretty low (as a taller person) and the stairs are slick. Don't recommend staying in this unit if someone is older/elderly, unless they sleep on the first floor.

Positive: We loved our stay at the Silver Daisy. In addition to spending time in beautiful Nikko, we will always remember the night we spent stargazing from the zen garden, watching meteors falling from the clear, dark sky while listening to the nearby river. In the morning we even did a Qui Gong session on the Zen Patio. We had a wonderful experience staying in such a modern, comfortable hotel unit in such peaceful surroundings.

Negative: There was nothing I didn't like.
