Positive: True hidden gem of the island. Isolated place with the amazing view. The host is very polite and helpful. They welcome the new guests with the full fridge of fruits, snacks and home made pie. Must have place for the cat lovers as the local cute and friendly cat lives on the terrace and demands for the attention. The cave house is truly amazing, clean and spacious. You will hear the sound of the sea during the stay. The next door family tavern will welcome you with the delicious meat and fish meals. Recommend to rent a car or quad as the road to the property is rocky and the taxi drivers are not happy to drive there.

Positive: Everything! This is a very special place to stay. The facilities are fabulous, the location is just idyllic and the staff who run it could not do anymore to help you. We arrived late following our flight and a long travel day to a fully stocked fridge and very clear instructions how to get there and what we would need. It was a very memorable place to stay.

Positive: Situated right on the beach in Messa Pigadia this place is truly a rare gem. To get there you certainly need a car (the road down to the beach is full of stones so consider the car you hire or take it really slow - more like offroad). Parking is around the taverna (wherever you find a place, during the day it can get crowded). The taverna is a very nice place, the food is amazing and the stuff friendly (and is 2 mins walk from your terrace). There is also a beach bar up the road (few mins). In Akrotiri (10 mins drive) you find a big supermarket + some smaller. The best is Arvanitis - 2 levels, huge selection, fair prices. Plenty of restaurants around if you are ok to drive - if not use the taverna. The cave itself is gorgeous, clean and spacious... right on the beach with a big private terrace (sun beds, table, outdoor shower). It has a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, oven, stove), full bath, a big spacious room in the back where is a huge double bed and a frontside living room with a sofa. George greet us on place, showed us around and provided all instructions, hints and tips we could want. He is very kind and we kept in touch throughout the stay. We were welcomed with a full fridge, fruits, wine and home backed pie and cake (that was food for more than a week for us 2). For the cat lovers - the place comes with a lovely cat included. Afrodita is the real master of the place, she stays in the terrace and is very friendly, sweet but snappy at times (so make sure you bring your offerings - check the mentioned supermarket above for the square small tins cat pate). We had a lovely time and enjoyed each moment. During the day it can become crowded on the beach (people and too many boats) but nothing compared with the touristic areas of the island. The evenings/nights though are so quiet and peaceful.

Negative: That we had to leave so soon and could not take Aftodita with us (though she was following us on the beach when we left).

Positive: This is a very unique stay, a traditional dwelling made into a luxurious accommodation. A special experience of Santorini with the ocean a stones throw away. The hosts met us with keys and had filled the fridge and left snacks and everything we could possibly need for an amazing and relaxing holiday. My daughter loved feeding Aphrodite the resident cat who lives right outside. Wish we could have stayed longer and really appreciated the late checkout. Naboo is a fabulous casual cafe and bar at the end of the beach that is definitely worth a visit!

Negative: Nothing but you definitely need a car to access and the road is a little rough but that also means it's nice and quiet.

Summary: I 100% recommend and will return. Best stay ever.
