Positive: An old traditional Japanese style hotel with very good onsen & spring water. Polite staff, though could not fully communicate in English. Good dinner and breakfast, but not top (in terms of the foods used).

Negative: Almost nothing to see/visit/shop near the hotel, even at the Onsen Street. A bit far from the train station, not very convenient for non-driving travelers (no pick-up service from hotel).

Summary: Good for Relaxtion Only

Positive: The food was amazing! The private onsen was special The staff were very helpful It was only a short stay but we really enjoyed every aspect of the room and the ryokan. From the vinyl player, the tatami area, and even the skincare amenities. This was a stay to remember!

Negative: Nothing!

Summary: This was our splurge for the trip and it did not disappoint!

Positive: I went here during the off season and immediately felt out of my pay grade when I arrived. Staff are extremely courteous. The interior design is beautiful and Zen-oriented. The room was traditionally designed and big. Ureshino is an Onsen town, so I wasn't surprised that the hot springs here were the nicest I've ever been to. The hotel's public baths were very spacious and extremely relaxing. Due to low visitor numbers, I was also allowed entry to a private room for free each day of my stay, which I appreciate very much. But maybe the faucets should have some kind of temperature lock, since it's extremely easy to burn yourself with 80°C hot spring water if you're not careful. The food was also exceptional, with especially dinner being an exceptionally good and varied traditional teishoku with multiple courses. The surrounding area was relaxing to explore, as the town is small and very empty. The waterfalls nearby were certainly a highlight.

Negative: The building definitely shows its age from the outside, and the interior staircase felt a bit inapt compared to the rest of the hotel, with cleanliness not being the best it could've been. Also the building's piping system was very audible in the room at night, which was a bit unpleasant.

Positive: We stayed at Ryokan Oomuraya in a big family group to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was the highlight of our trip! It is a beautiful traditional ryokan with a fun music focus. Everything about our stay was so enjoyable, from the relaxing onsen to the delicious and creative meals, the excellent drinks and atmosphere at the music bar, and of course the hospitality of the lovely staff! They helped me to arrange a cake for my husband’s birthday, cheerfully sang happy birthday with us and gave him some party hats to wear! Ureshino Onsen is a beautiful little town which was fun to explore, with lovely cafes and gift shops. We hope to visit again one day!

Positive: Due to we drove our own car to this hotel so it's quite convenient to reach this hotel including the free parking lot. If you are prefer the peace location we suggest this hotel. It's quite peaceful , nevertheless, there are many small stores and restuarants around there. The people there are very friendly. Dinner and breakfast are nice.

Negative: any complain right now.
