Romantic Getaway | Cottage in Dalabyggð

We welcome you to visit our beautiful cottage. The cottage’s location is best described as being secluded while not too far off the beaten track.
Located in a quiet farmland area should give you plenty of privacy to relax after a long day of travelling. The cottage is a 10 minute drive from the quaint town of Flúðir and 20-25 minute drive from Gullfoss and Geysir.
The space
You are sure to love the countryside surrounding the cottage and the horses in the field across from the house will provide you with those perfect Instagram photos to make your friends back home jealous.
The cottage, one of two in the same lot, it is small (27 sqm / 290 sq ft) but yet convenient and spacious. It is ideal for two people but can host four (two adults and two children - we do not recommend the cottage for four adults). Featuring a luxury queen size bed with top of the line bedding and a sleeping sofa you are sure to have a great night’s sleep.
The cottage has a full-size kitchen with a two-plate stove top, microwave and a Nespresso coffee maker. We’re sure that you’ll welcome the break from doing the dishes, and for that we have installed a quiet dish-washing machine. There is a half size fridge and tableware for up to six people.
The bathroom has all the necessary features including a full-size shower and a radiator to dry your towels. Outside you will have full access to the shared decking surrounding the cabin that will give an added feeling of oneness with nature and a chance to experience the 24-hour daylight during summer and the amazing Northern Lights in winter.
Guest access
You will have access to the whole space, the outdoor deck and the hot tub that is shared with the other cottage.
Other things to note
Dalabyggð Cottages are operated according to Icelandic regulation number 1277/2016. According to the 6th paragraph of said regulation hosts shall keep a record of guests containing their name, Icelandic kennitala or date of birth, address and nationality.
A couple of days before your arrival you will be sent an online check-in request where you are kindly asked to provide the information mentioned above.
