Positive: Great location overlooking the river. Staff were helpful giving details of the viewing point walks. The porter always welcomed us with a smile. It is a romantic, luxurious place to stay just outside the bustle of the town.

Negative: Not a problem for us, but as accommodation as are along the river, the furthest are a fair walk to reception . If this is important for you letvthe team know in advance.

Positive: Good location. Nothing better or worse than other budget accommodations.

Negative: The first thing the owner did was cancel my reservation through Booking.com and proceed to charge me the same amount so she wouldn’t have to pay the booking fee and could make more money. She was obsessed with bad mouthing French tourists who gave her poor reviews. After paying for the room when we arrived we never saw her or any other employees again. No one to leave the key with at check out.

Summary: Would not recommend due to owner’s behavior.

Positive: The location was superb, with a great view over the valley and setting sun. We had the top floor room, furthest along and it was a nice big room. We booked a twin room and this had one double and one single bed. We liked the helpful map of walks of the area and did some of those. We liked the provision of a kettle and cups, and having the table and chairs outside. The hosts, Gabriel and Penny, were great and offered tips and advice. I think it’s one of the better rooms to stay in the area. We were pleased with our stay.

Negative: I will just note that the double bed creaks when you move, or get in, and maybe needs some attention to fix it. But I still managed to sleep. It is a very quiet area.

Summary: Great location, good room, great hosts.
