Positive: The property and facilities were lovely. Everything was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We would definitely come back! The animals are also a real treat for the kids to enjoy.

Negative: It felt misleading to put feed (for the animals) and sweets on the kids’ bed and then charge for it. Rather let people know they can purchase if they want to. I feel that if something is left on the bed, it is more associated with giving the patrons a gift upon arrival. That has a more homey and welcoming feel.

Summary: Wonderful stay. It’s a great accommodation and farm.

Positive: This was probably one of the most beautiful places I've visited in the country. The view from the river is fabulous. All of the flowers and decor of the property is so tranquil and pretty. And the staff are incredible - taking our kids in the back of the truck to meet the chickens, helping me get the hot tub warm much faster, letting my toddler have an orange from the counter when she wanted one! The food baskets are plentiful and delicious. The kids LOVE feeding the animals.

Negative: We had 2 units for our family of four, thinking we needed it to have a separate space for each kid to sleep. But one of the units had a little side room, so we actually had plenty of space. Since it was too late for a refund, we invited our friends to just crash in our second room for one of the nights. And later we got a bill with a significant extra charge because apparently you pay by the person, not the unit. We didn't require any additional food or cleaning or anything so this felt a little frustrating given all we'd paid already.

Positive: Breakfast -lovely fresh eggs and continental breakfast-baked bread/muffins daily, ham,tomatoes. Kolkol hot tub was a treat in the cold weather. Fresh braai pack and pasta dinner pack -staff accommodating at last minute Beautiful setting, kids loved the farm animals

Negative: Wi-fi was very challenging as I had to do some work online; connectivity was slow Braai basket very expensive - paid for double of what we expected we were ordering (delicious, but quantity just too much for 2 adult and 2kids)

Summary: Tranquil and restorative. Gorgeous setting, wonderful accommodation and delicious food. Will be back

Positive: Generosity of amenities. Also nothing was too much for the staff. They were extremely helpful, accommodating and generous. A beautiful property that is for the high end traveller that is looking for self catering with the ability to order their restaurant food for lunch and dinner. Breakfast basket was fresh and very generous. We will definitely return to this beautiful property

Positive: This was the best place on our tour. Beautiful nature, the river, the animals, a cottage with fireplaces and hot tub, which we used in the evening. You will get lovely and great food in the barn and for breakfast. Don’t forget to order the barbecue basket.
