Positive: We got the warmest of welcomes from the host who showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. The Caban is so beautifully made and we were never less than the perfect level of cosy!! Unfortunately I got the flu whilst we were there but it was the most wonderful place to rest and recuperate.

Positive: This place is absolutely magical and a complete escape from reality, the workmanship of the cabin is stunning and it's so cosy. Lovely hosts, everything you need, lots of wood for the fire, and a comfy bed. There are woods right in front of the cabin where you can apparently walk to a nice pub. There is everything you need to cook but be aware there is no oven or microwave so plan your shopping accordingly. We were more than happy. If you have never tried a compost loo, don't let it put you off, they are not smelly at all and great to use. Great location for days out.

Negative: Nothing, it was perfect. Family and friends are already asking us for details.

Positive: This was exactly what we needed. A place to get ‘off grid’ and away from the day to day pressures of life. The bed/bedding was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in and the home built cabin was equally as cosy.

Positive: We had a wonderful time at John & Ruth’s cottage. Great place with warm fire and comfy bed. Quiet and peaceful- so relaxing.No issues staying here. Quaint welsh pub up the road. Hosts provided good local knowledge and greeted us warmly.

Positive: The most beautiful retreat in nature! Beautiful location and cabin, the pictures don’t do this place justice it’s amazing! Thank you Ruth and John! Just a note if you’re staying during colder weather to bring a hot water bottle/blanket/layers as it gets very chilly even with the cosy log burner!
