Positive: The staff was very friendly and informative. They organized for us the transports to and from Bukit Lawang. The driver were reliable and in time. We enjoyed also the jungle trekking with very good guides in a small group. The location is a quiet place a the river.

Positive: Friendly staff and clean rooms The staff do not PUSH treks onto it's guests but when you ask if they can organise.... they provide the best guides EVER. The trekking with this guest house is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Ask for Eddie!

Negative: Family rooms could do with a larger (or two) fans.

Positive: nice restaurant with good food (banana pancakes were amaizing). room was okay. there is a big outdoors area for hang out or to just chill out next to the river. nella and her family and the staff were amaizing. they also organize tours (orangutan trekking, tangkahan tour with elephants), transport and can help you with everything. also the location next to the river is perfect. i really recomend Rain Forest Guest House.

Negative: there were some parties nearby so without sound isolated rooms it was very loud until 4am. but this is not hotel's fault.

Positive: I had the most incredible stay at this hidden gem of a guesthouse! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The location is absolutely magical – it's nestled in a serene valley next to a river, and the lush greenery around you makes you feel like you're in the heart of a rainforest. The views are nothing short of breathtaking, with nature at every turn. The activities offered were so much fun and created memories I will cherish forever. Jojo, our guide, was truly exceptional. He was so knowledgeable about the plants and animals, taking us on an unforgettable adventure. We had the privilege of seeing orangutans and a variety of monkeys up close, which was an experience I will never forget. I can’t recommend this place enough – it’s the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and immersion in nature. Truly an experience of a lifetime!

Positive: I absolutely loveed it. I booked this place for one night, I stayed for 5. The staff is incredibly helpful and lovely, ready to arrange and assist. They are one of a few places here run by LOCAL people, instead of Westerners, which is very important (support local community and business!!). The guides they work with are just fantastic and you couldn’t ask for more. The food it great and there’s plenty to chose from. It is a typical simple guesthouse with friendly vibe and everything you need. I really recommend to anyone who is looking for contributing to the community while having adventures.
