Positive: This is an amazing place, if you know what you get yourself into. It's right next to the park entrance, about a 15 minute walk from the village. Uphill. The cottages have toilet and shower, but only cold water. No airconditioning. If you know all that and don't care, you'll have an awesome stay. I even spotted monkeys from my balcony. There is no need to go down to the village for food (of course you can if you want to), you can start your Orangutan trek right from the bungalows, the people are friendly, the place is clean. Big shoutout to Ollo, the driver picking me up from the airport, helping me with sim and money, arranging dinner and teaching me Indonesian along the way. Terima kasih!

Positive: Great staff, limited but nice menu, well priced and great location, plenty of wildlife to be seen from the bungalow terraces. Very quiet and relaxing.

Negative: It’s up a steep climb from the village. Ideal for jungle treck as that’s where you enter jungle but gets quite tiring getting back from bukit lawang.

Positive: The location was fantastic, just before the entrance of the jungle, where all tours start. In the morning Leaf monkeys at our doorstep putting up a show!Food was great, fresh and homecooking. The staff was really friendly, we had a laugh with them and good talks. Especially a big thanks to Amri and Dian, we expierenced a great jungle tour with them and also a tour in the area! Thanks for all the good stories and memories. You made this trip amazing!

Negative: A bit far from the town, and unfortunately 370 steps up to arrive. But it was worth it.

Positive: The location is splendid and very quite close to the entrance of the park. Staff always helpful and friendly while food is of good quality. Atmosphere is relax also due the the location higher on the path to the national park. Staff was great to arrange transport to the airport compensating for missing the overnight in the park

Positive: The accomodation is right at the edge of the jungle. We were able to see many monkies in front of the bungalow. The staff were incredibly nice. We also did a jungle tour with Robbert and Dian (2D, 1N). Challenging, but an incredible experience nonetheless. Would recommend staying here!

Positive: Location was unreal. Bit of a trek to the property but well worth it. The staff were kind and helpful. Went Jungle trekking with Robin and Ivan, and they were both amazing. Food was delicious!

Positive: Very helpful staff, providing trekking shoes, and organising trek and transport. The location in the jungle is a peaceful option surrounded by nature, and next to the national park entrance, so easy access to treks. Food is good.

Negative: Minor issues - The 15 minute uphill hike from the river with bags. The shower was only cold water, and the large bungalow needed a bit of an update.
