Summary: I've stayed in many hotels around the world, mostly 4- and 5-star properties, and this is genuinely one of the best 5+ stars hotel I've ever experienced. Period. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, beautiful colonial architecture and historic character is at every inch. Every corner, the suite, the lobby, the spa - feels elegant and full of luxurious and elegant historic feel. The service is consistently outstanding, and everything - from check-in and check-out to the breakfast experience - is being done genuinly with care and high end professionalism. This was my second stay here, and it only confirmed my first impression from the previous year. I'll definitely be coming back. Couldn't recommend it stronger.

Summary: Hotel is beautiful but overpriced for what it is. Food at Marina Bay Sands was much better and overall service was lacking compared to Shang ri La which had amazing staff. Nice to see but fell short of expectations.

Summary: Harpreet (Happy) and Narendra the Sikh doormen were the best part from the second you step foot at the entrance until you depart. Always a warm motherly greeting and friendly fatherly departure. The entire staff and property solidified this experience. The best I have seen anywhere in the world.
