Negative: At check in my credit card was taken I assumed for pre approval, without telling me the amount my card was blocked for over £1000 - Not a huge problem but had I been told I would have used a different card. My next stop was the Four Seasons who told me up front the amount they needed to pre approve

Positive: Staying at Raffles has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager; and it didn't disappoint. The suite was stunning and the attention to detail incredible - the Singapore Slings on arrival, the chocolate, thoughtfully curated minibar, the kindness of the leather bookmark popped in my book. Just beautiful. The room itself was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable, the chargers in the bedside drawers so clever, the Dyson hairdryer a dream. The bath and shower were luxurious. The chairs outside on the terrace were so comfortable. We did the history tour and it was AMAZING, I highly recommend to everyone. Pool area and bar lovely. Staff all wonderful. Food in the Tiffin Room DELICIOUS.

Negative: Breakfast was overpriced for what was on offer in my opinion, but that really is just picking holes. Staying here is expensive, but the hotel is INCREDIBLE and if you're thinking about staying - just do it.

Positive: Raffles is a beautiful, classic hotel with attentive staff and very comfortable, spacious rooms. There are lots of special touches such as the choice of chocolates, welcome cocktails, a generous and free mini bar. The breakfast room is light and welcoming and the selection of dishes is very good.

Negative: We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay.
