Positive: We liked the privacy of the home, as well as deck. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the home was cozy.

Negative: When we booked this property, we asked about room for our 23' boat. We were not told that the ramp right by the house cannot accommodate boats any larger than a small skiff. It's a VERY small area for maneuvering a truck & trailer, not to mention shallow. The waters in and around the marshy area outside of the canal are VERY shallow and hairy. Nothing is marked either as far as channel. Definitely a locals only boating area. Would not recommend this location for anyone w/ a center console bay boat or larger, or if you're wanting to scallop. Luckily, we had friends staying off of the river and ended up keeping our boat at their place, and pulling out @ MacRae's with no issue. Next time we will do more research for sure!

Positive: The home was clean, was well stocked and the host was great about communicating. There were all the kitchen items that we needed. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for our small group. The porch looked nice, but it was too hot to really enjoy.

Negative: It was further from McCrae's than I thought, which is where we left from daily. Wasn't a big deal though only a few extra minutes.

Summary: Would definitely stay again.

Positive: The price and that it had a dock for our boat.

Negative: Nothing specific other than the house is very outdated. Also, it was difficult for our tri-toon to get out of Mason Creek area because of the oyster beds. Luckily we met a local that helped guide us and give us tips to navigate.

Summary: The house has what you need to be comfortable and bring your boat.

Negative: both toilets would not quit running, and the fridge would not get real cold

Summary: Great stay other than a couple little things would definitely book again I am a handyman. I’ll change the toilet.
