Positive: It is not 5 star accommodation, but the location is just great and facilities very good. Bed was comfy, there is a private balcony unlike many other units in the complex and we did use it for a drink and a bite after self catering. It has a washing machine (detergent supplied) which was great after a few days travel. Lots of thoughtful inclusions in kitchen, Right on one of Madrid's great eating streets and an easy walk to Plaza Mayor. If we stay in Madrid again, this would be the first place we'd try for. We are a mature married couple vacationing from Australia. We used a pre arranged car to transport us from the airport and were glad we did as navigating in the narrow streets of La Latina would be difficult for an unfamiliar tired traveller.

Positive: The apartment is very clean and has everything you might need for a short stay (including a washing machine and a kitchen full of things). The huge advantage is its great location in the very heart of historic Madrid (less than 10 min from Plaza Mayor).

Negative: It is cold (in winter) and hard to get it warm and cozy without knocking out all the electricity in the apartment (however, there is an AC and a heater there, so the host tries to make it warmer). The bed is not the widest and is located a bit weirdly, such that it is not the most comfortable (there is a gap on one side).
