Positive: The house is in very close proximity to the city center and across the street from larger markets and a bakery. It is a great value for the cost. Older set up, but clean with good amendments. It’s on a busy street with traffic, but sleeping wasn’t a problem. The host was super helpful and friendly. I would recommend this house definitely if your on a budget, like we were.

Negative: On a busy street, but didn’t interrupt with sleep. No microwave or air conditioning, but the nights are cool during the busy season.

Summary: Great, inexpensive, close proximity location.

Positive: Loved this wooden self contained cabin.Needed to catch a very early bus in the morning so this was ideal as right opposite bus stop and supermarket.The huge glass windows were great.Everything you need to cook and be comfortable. Being next to the road wasn't a problem as quiet at night.

Negative: Nothing,all good.

Positive: Very convenient for the town and shopping centre opposite. Very welcoming owner. Lots of space, comfortable bed, hot water in shower, basic kitchen facilities, complimentary coffee. Able to flag down public bus outside house to monteverde cloud forest. Felt safe.

Negative: When I was there it was quite noisy in the night and early morning - I am not sure if it was supermarket deliveries or due to the strong winds the metal buildings were banging a lot.

Summary: Great place to stay for a few days when visiting the area.

Positive: Great hosts , very accommodating and they gave us wonderful suggestions. The house is clean with everything you need for a short stay. Walkable distance to mall and Santa Elena downtown. 20 minutes drive to Monteverde

Negative: It’s on a main road so you can hear some noise

Positive: it’s a standalone cabin very near the bus station and the shopping mall and a short walk to the city centre. it feels cosy and it’s super clean. the host and his mother who manages the place are super nice people

Negative: there is a bit of noise coming from the road which passes outside the cabin but it stops at night. i woke up early both nights I stayed so I didnt mind much but if you plan to stay for more than couple of days and you are a light sleeper it’s something to bear in mind (perhaps ear plugs will help)

Positive: Great accommodations with everything we needed for a few nights stay. The bed was very comfortable, and good cooking facilities were available. A large super market across the road also.

Negative: The property was located near a main road which was a bit noisy
