Positive: Great location. Room perfect ,had everything I needed.

Negative: They have thought of everything at this place and charging ports everywhere - can’t fault them. I didn’t find a USB C port and that would be a useful addition

Positive: Henry was very nice. Bed was very comfortable, room had a little guide book that was very helpful, and the fridge was stocked daily with Heineken, water, and cola.

Negative: Stairs are steep but thats what you should expect staying in these houses. Room gets hot but there's a portable ac unit

Positive: We appreciated the ability to drop off bags before check-in time. When we did, we happened to be there when the housekeeper arrived. What a delightful young man! He made us feel welcome, gave us some useful info on where we could grab a bite to eat before we checked in officially and let us know when he would have our unit ready. We were boarding a river cruise the next day and you couldn't ask for a more convenient spot to meet our ship. The building was older, but the plumbing was first rate. And the unit was clean. Very clean.

Negative: If we were to stay for more than 2 nights, it would be difficult to "move in". It is definitely a small unit. Being on a busy street, I don't know if the street noise would be a problem, but it wasn't the night we were there because we were that exhausted from flying over 8 hours the night/day before.

Summary: Very small, but very clean and very welcoming.

Positive: Staff was very helpful and patient with me as i was upset about the train delays that caused my stay in the city. although there is no reception or front desk and nobody was there to assist me with my luggage, someone arrived shortly and made sure i had everything i needed.

Negative: one has to be prepared that it is only a two room hotel with no reception. the front door is narrow and there is only a very steep staircase behind it that guests have to be prepared to climb with whatever luggage they have. as there is nobody there to help if not requested previously. i had booked the stay in a hurry and didn’t read the fine print about this detail. i had a very large and heavy suitcase that was not easy to get upstairs. so that was a problem, especially because traveling alone. same the next morning to get out again.

Summary: very surprising modern, fully equipped and comfortable bedroom behind an unassuming door and a steep steep stairwell

Positive: Check is was very easy with clear instructions. Henry the owner responded quickly to messages and was very accomodating allowing us to store luggage before and after our stay. The room was very comfortable and located opposite the main station. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided and the fridge was even stocked with a couple of beers which was very appreciated. The building is traditional Dutch style and full of character and charm. The stairs are extremely steep and narrow which adds to the character of the building and wasn't a problem for us however people with mobility issues should probably look elsewhere!

Negative: Unfortunately there was some heavy construction work taking place on the road outside which went late into the evening and started far too early in the morning. Whilst this is outside of the owners control I was disappointed that it wasn't mentioned when booking as being light sleepers we would have booked elsewhere. Without the roadworks this room would have been an easy 10.

Summary: Really loved the room, shame about the construction work outside though.
