Positive: Amazing experience - the house is exceptional and perfectly equipped and furnished in every way, including great beach equipment. The cleanliness is impeccable. Communication with the host was superb. The location of Budens is perfect, being in good reach of both Sagres and Lagos. There is a supermarket nearby, a nice little bakery and above all two excellent restaurants (Good Fellas and O Tiago), which are just a 1-2 minute walk away.

Positive: It is a lovely house, with a peaceful garden. It has everything you could think of for a pleasant stay , nice kitchen, big bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, good mattress, very quiet, good rest.Little barbacue. The pizzeria around the corner, The Goodfellas ,is amazing. Best pasta in years. Martina is kind and helpful. In three words: JOLLY GOOD HOLIDAYS.

Positive: Super friendly host. Extremely clean cottage. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. We loved it here. Stunning decor. A home from home. Local beaches are beautiful. Intermarche super handy. I love this area and was so happy to show it to my friend. Will definitely come again.

Negative: It was a particularly windy week in the west, and so not as good warm weather as we would have liked. But that wasn't the fault of the accommodation!

Positive: The photos don’t do it justice. We booked for a whole month so we’re apprehensive when we arrived… nothing worse than being stuck somewhere you don’t like for so long! But as soon as we walked in … it was like coming home. So comfortable, perfectly furnished, tastefully styled, immaculately clean. Our host couldn’t do enough… even coming to check the post each day as we’d registered for postal voting and didn’t want to miss out. We also loved that it was in the old village side of budens. Five minutes from Boca de Rio beach (where we could take our dog) and from Salema beach (for a dog free treat day… an upmarket and gorgeous beach… never packed, just the right amount of facilities). Supermarket and restaurants very close. Garden and roof terrace were gorgeous. Can’t find anything ad to stay and as soon as we left we booked for next year!

Negative: Nothing to fault . It was perfect for us. But if you don’t have a car it’s not probably going to work. It’s not walking distance to the beach and it’s also quite hilly. One of the neighbours on one side seemed a bit fed up with us… maybe tired of british tourists .. can’t say I blame them if they feel the village is losing its identity so one tip i would give is try to learn a bit of Portuguese and be demonstrative in appreciating the community.

Positive: A lovely spacious house with a delightful sunny private garden. We enjoyed our brief stay enormously. A great location for exploring the beaches & other delights of the Western Algarve. Everything was made nice & easy, it was very relaxing we cant wait to visit again !

Negative: Nothing. Maybe a small dressing table in the main bedroom & a better hairdryer would make it perfect !
