64 On Oturoa is a small operating farmlet, with a cosy and comfortable cottage. You will drive along our avenue of beautiful old trees which change dramatically through the seasons. The driveway is bounded either side by paddocks with sheep, our miniature horse Bess and our free ranging colourful chickens. The nearby village of Ngongotaha offers cafe, takeaway shops, grocery, chemist, doctors, liquor outlets, post office with bookstore and lotto. Rotorua city centre is a pleasant 10km drive with many of the local attractions on the way. The self drive railway trip situated at Ngongotaha is a must do. You might like to stop off at the Agrodome, Zorb, Gondolas and Luge. Fishing options are abundant in our area with the boat ramp at Ngongotaha and Hamurana just a short drive away. White water rafting, Eco Tours, Leisure and Wild Life parks, Scenic flights, geothermal wonders, cycling and mountain biking just waiting for you to enjoy. Eat Streat in Rotorua is a very popular stop with a fantastic variety of food on offer. We are close enough for you to use this as a base for the National Field Days in Hamilton. This area is a mountain bikers dream, come along and enjoy what the area has to offer. There is safe storage for your bikes. Just ask. We are happy to share with you, seasonal fruit from our orchard. A variety of herbs are grown in the area in front of the cottage and we are happy for you to make use of these. Upon your arrival you will find some beautiful fresh free range eggs, condiments, fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar.
