Positive: Really cute, clean studio, well furnished and decorated.

Negative: This probably would be a good place for guests with different interests. For us, it was too far from restaurants and shops. Appreciate the washer but no dryer didn’t make sense unless we were staying longer. Probably a dishwasher would have been more useful. Breakfast was provided on first day but not replenished for subsequent days, which was unexpected.

Positive: We liked the fact that the villa is not located in central Rotorua and enjoyed the peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle. It was comfortable, functional, inviting and stylish. A great base to explore the area and a welcome place to return to.

Positive: Incredibly beautiful studio with everything you could possibly want and need. (Including chickens next door!) Lots of space in the apartment. Outdoor space and bathtub are perfectly private. Hamurana is a quiet village compared to Rotorua, so that was an added bonus. And Nicky is a great host!

Positive: From the moment I arrived, Nikki went above and beyond — she noticed I was having trouble finding the place (while unintentionally blocking a driveway!) and immediately called to guide me in. She greeted me at the door with a warm welcome and gave me a personal tour of what would be my home for the next few days. This was hands down the most luxurious and thoughtfully curated space I’ve ever stayed in. The property is surrounded by citrus trees, and every inch of the interior reflects the host’s background in design — no detail was overlooked. It felt modern, cozy, and full of character — like staying in a real home, not a transactional rental. One of the best parts? You have the entire acreage to yourself. No other guests, no noise — just calm, comfort, and pure style. I couldn’t recommend it more!
