Positive: Beautiful property outside of town. It really was a retreat property and the enormous deck overlooking the landscape was divine - a peaceful and special place. Not as much land to walk around as I would have expected, but plenty of places to sit, stay still, and take it all in. Great generous breakfast and I appreciated that tea and coffee were available later in the day. The library full of books was also a pleasure. I look forward to my next stay.

Negative: Room furnishings, while abundant, were horrible looking. I felt like I was in someone's grandparent's basement in the Midwest, with all the leftover odds and ends furnishings-wise. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were lumpy and cheap. Gentleman who worked at the front desk apparently opened the door to our room to leave paperwork and tell my sleeping partner to fill it out - on the day we were leaving! Very invasive and unprofessional.

Positive: It’s a beautiful and serene location. Breakfast was okay. Pretty basic but enough for us.

Negative: The rooms are aged and need updating. Bathrooms old and toilet flush leaked. Breakfast Yogurt was expired so we didn’t eat it.

Positive: We only stayed for a night but really enjoyed this little hideaway. Perched on top of a small hill, the hotel offered a quiet respite from the town below. There's a lovely patio with fireplace overlooking the valley - perfect for enjoying the evening and looking at the stars. There's also a lovely waterfall/pond feature. Lots of birds and bunnies hanging around. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental but had several good options.

Positive: The location . Great views of surrounding area . The quietness . Reception gave a pleasant welcome . Breakfast was reasonable

Negative: The whole place needs revamp . The green room was out dated . They say private patio but not really ( over looked when people using the lounge) there is a microwave but no plates , cutlery . Because the room needed decorating attention it seemed a depressing room .

Summary: Whilst location is good . This property was too over priced .
