Negative: Beach had been eroded, the apartments all had a mould problem (as is normal in Mexico) but for the money here was particularly bad

Positive: We loved the location, the sand beach, the staff at the buffets were outstanding - courteous and very welcoming. The rooms were big and although some maintenance would not hurt, they were totally acceptable. The beds were comfortable, loved the bathtub, the water pressure was good and we did not have issues with water temperature (our rooms were in the ground floor). We also enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi - I wish those could be booked for longer than 30 minutes a day. The coatis were the absolute hit with the kids. A special shout out to Teo at the tour booking. He went above and beyond to make sure our trip was happening after the tour company screwed up. Looking forward to come again!

Negative: The a la carte restaurants seemed understaffed, which affected negatively the quality of the service. The deserts there were at times really (like really-really-really) bad. Although restaurants offered a nicer presentation of the food, the buffet was a better place to eat - fresher and at least as tasty

Positive: We absolutely love the well kept gardens, the adults only pool, the seclusion room between each other rooms, comfy beds and pillows, the good breakfast, the nature around the hotel, the clear ocean waters.

Negative: Lacking more vegan options in the lunch and dinner. We are vegan and was very difficult at times to find stuff to eat that didn’t have dairy or meat. Also at times the food was cold especially when we booked a dinner by the ocean and they brought everyone’s food very cold, it would have been nice to offer some kind of class for the active couples such as yoga, meditation etc, also no sauna that would’ve been nice, having it take taxi to town, hotel should provide shuttles from airport to guess since it is a long distance trip.

Summary: Really nice relaxing hotel to unwind for a few day

Positive: The food was OK, sufficient variety and good taste. The room is OK, but not 5 stars. The services quality is mixed.

Negative: Our reservation was for the room with the balcony, we did not get such room (we did not complain, as we arrived later evening and needed sleep as priority). The coffee machine in the self-service restaurant did not work many times. The beach rules are totaly confusing (the hotel rules say that all beach activities are on own risk, however there is the baywatch, and their opinion on what is possible and what not seems to be very subjective and non-consistent). No tea maker in the room.
