Positive: No need to repeat what's said already in other reviews about the accommodation. The only downside is that you need to book way in advance to secure a spot. The relatively new diving shop is also awesome. Freddy is a great guide who can both read strong currents and take care of newbies. The diving groups are small, equipments are new and the tank is generous with 220 bar most of the time. Highly recommended!

Positive: This is really paradise. It has been by far our best stay in Raja, the location is bafflingly beautiful and the people here go above and beyond to make your stay special. Andy and Esni, the owners, are very warm and welcoming, attentive and always checking to make sure you're having a great time. We stayed in one of the only two amazing overwater bungalows and it was so special sleeping with all the blinds open, lulled by the sound of the sea and the gentle breeze. Food was another highlight: it was local cuisine, always varied, abundant and had a nice Western fusion vibe. Dives and excursions were top notch. I even had the privilege of going snorkeling with Esni (THANK YOU) and it was by far the best snorkeling I've had in my whole life (swimming on top of six black tip sharks on a feeding frenzy was glorious). Thank you for everything, we will be back.

Positive: Nyande is a very well thought out and operated accommodation. The food is excellent, everyone can feel as safe as possible during the organized tours. They pay attention to individual needs, and if possible, they fulfill them. I can only recommend it. The accommodation has many small beach areas, which is a rarity here.

Negative: The noise from athe dive shop is sometimes annoying, but you can get used to it.

Positive: Home reef is super beautiful, swim in it straight from your room. They did their best to cook without nuts/peanuts.

Negative: At breakfast, there was dog hair all over the floor. At night, you could hear and see the rats running around in your room. The food was not as good as at the other homestay.

Positive: We stayed at Nyande for 12 nights and we are so glad that we had a long stay. Most people do 2 or 3 nights and move on. Nyande arranged our taxi from Sorong airport to the Dock and VIP ferry tickets too for a small fee. The pick up at Waisai was seemless after buying the Raja Ampat park permit. We were met by lovely Esni on the Jetty when we arrived. We had one of the land bungalows with private bathroom facilities. It was all spotless. 24 hour electricity and WiFi is a big bonus at this property. The room was small but fine if you keep it tidy. The fan made little impression really, but we still slept well in the large comfy bed. The foot rinse showers everywhere are a nice touch and help to keep the place clean. No shoes or flip flops required at Nyande. The dining room and food are also great! Some people should remind themselves that it isn't an "all you can eat buffet" the food is for all guests. But, we didn't go hungry and there was always fruit available through the day. Water, tea and coffee too. You can buy beer for 100k and soft drinks for 20k. The kitchen staff made me amazing ginger tea to clear up my head cold in just 1 day. Terima kasih.....I need the recipe 😋 The house reef was why we chose Nyande. It is outstanding. The diversity of healthy corals and the reef fish species was excellent. The abundance of life was spectacular and kept us snorkelling for about 5 hours each day! You need to read the often strong currents. As well as so many new species of reef fish for us, we saw wobbegong shark and crocodile fish, and the usuals of black tips, eagle rays and lots of turtle. The dogs at nyande are so lovely, and they adopted us as part of their pack which made the stay very homely. We walked to the village, Kampung, not far away which is really pretty. We also used the kayak one day to return there for another look around. The people there were very nice with us.

Positive: We’ve stayed at Nyande once before and hope to be back. Andy put so much thought into each detail, Esni is such a bright and cheerful guide, the cooks sing while preparing the food and honestly, it’s worth singing about; there is now a dive center and it’s a great spot for both birding and snorkeling and a splendid base for excursions. Lovely fresh water showers, comfortable rooms and… cold beverages all day round! Thank you so much for creating this oase and making improvements still with great love for the nature and attention for the guests.
