Positive: The best location of all for snorkeling. You can’t ask for more.

Negative: The rooms are old. No water in the rooms and everything is old and tried. That has some charm though.

Positive: The best snorkeling in the world right off the beach and the thatch bungalows are right in the beach.

Negative: Bathrooms are super primitive - cracked concrete floors - dark (electricity on from 6 PM to 6 AM ) no fans so if there is no breeze it’s hot .

Positive: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Eren's guesthouse located right in front of the beach in Sauwandarek village, offering breathtaking views of the sea and the jetty. The room and the common areas were very clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. There is a nice toilet inside the room. The food was the best we had in Raja Ampat by far and quantities were always more than enough to satisfy our hungry stomachs after snorkeling. What made our stay truly special was the fact that my father and I were the only tourists in the entire village during our stay (the bliss of low season) giving us a unique and authentic experience. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the manager, Defi. She was incredibly attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. She is very sweet and her English is perfect. We highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat by the sea near a great snorkeling / diving spot.

Positive: We were not expecting a 5 star experience as this was a homestay, however food was ok if a bit repetative, and staff were friendly. They did try to accommodate requests

Negative: You need to ask for everything, ask for fruit, ask for drinking water, ask for water to bathroom taps (to wash, flush the toilet, etc), ask for room clean, ask for toilet paper, ask for a room fan. The room its self lacked some sort of sun shade in the morning, other than staying inside or at the resturant area untill gone 11am - midday, We ended up hanging ropes and using sheets / sarongs to make shade. Being close to a town mosquitos are more abundant than in other areas

Positive: The bungalow was cosy and spacious, bed comfy and linen smelled good. Right by the beach, bright in the day, the terrace is a very nice plus. The meals were delicious, the family very attentive and helpful despite language differences. We still managed to communicate. It is a nice village, the water is crystal clear with corals, many boats come as a snorkeling spot (still not too near the property). It is also possible to ask to visit other islands with the owner, which we did. I left this morning, and been missing the place, the feel, and the whole family. I hope to come back to Raja Ampat, I would definitely stay at Erens' again.

Negative: It didn't bother me but there is no electricity in the day until sunset. I don't need much and my power bank was charged in case.
