Summary: We stayed here before so knew what to expect. The hotel is great and easy access to York city centre. the breakfast seems a little pricy, but you definitely won't go hungry!! Only gripe, £25 a night to park in their car park. As a guest of a not cheap hotel, I would expect parking to be included with maybe a charge if used beyond check out.

Summary: I enjoyed my stay - the hotel staff were fantastic, and the massage I booked was out of this world! My room was less than spacious, though the ceiling was very high which helped it feel bigger (and the four poster bed was fab). I loved the help-yourself pantry, and the skin and hair products were lovely.

Summary: Disappointing bedrooms, weird furniture, lot of road noise and street lights through poor quality curtains. Air conditioning not working in one room, coffee machine not working in another. Tiny towels and not much hot water. Expensive for the lack of quality in the bedrooms. Staff where good and the cocktail bar, lounge and dinning room where nice. Would not stay again

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at No. 1! The hotel is beautiful, warm, and inviting. The rooms were clean and cozy. The staff were very kind and accommodating. We also enjoyed the spa and restaurant (Pearly Cow). We weren’t informed about the pantry when we checked in, so make sure you ask about it if you stay.

Summary: The location of the property is a 15 min walk from train station and a 10 min walk into town. Very accessible. Quiet and safe surroundings. The main positive of this hotel is the staff - friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Great bartenders and a lovely room to sit and drink. I would recommend the restaurant - food was great. Def a place I would stay at next time I’m in York.

Summary: We had the best stay for our 3rd wedding anniversary. The hotel went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome. It was our first anniversary since we became parents and the hotel were amazing with our baby girl. The room was perfect and so child friendly. The hotel provided a cot bed and also had a tepee play area for our little one to enjoy. We are at the pearly cow restaurant next to the hotel and it was great food and service too. Thank you for an amazing stay to all the fantastic staff at the hotel and we already can’t wait to return in the future for another visit.
