We can comfortably accommodate 8 people: 2 bedrooms with double beds (160 and 140 cm), one bedroom with bunk bed (90 cm) and a drawer bed. 2 sofa beds (160 and 140 cm) in the two living areas (Ground floor and upper floor).

Summary: We used this property as a base for exploring some of the WW1 Somme battlefields which worked very well. The property is on the bank of the Somme itself and was on the frontline in 1916. Francois, the property owner, was very responsive and helpful with queries. Note that the property is in a small village and a short drive from the nearest restaurants and shops.

Summary: We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the end of May 2022. A great spot to recharge and as a base to tour the Somme area. The view from the terrace is fantastic and one we didn’t want to leave.

Summary: We had an amazing week in this wonderful house. The kitchen and the gear were good, the beds were fine (not superb), but the place and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful! A really wonderful place to walk, swim, take a day trip to a nice city, or just chil out in the garden. As said, we've had a wonderful week!

Summary: We spent 3 most enjoyable days at Vaux, thoroughly enjoying our evenings watching the lake and it’s visitors. How lovely to hear a cuckoo and watch a red squirrel in the garden. The property was easy to find and our purpose for staying was to visit the Somme and we travelled easily to all the key sites. We would definitely stay again.

Summary: A great short break in the Somme, visiting the main WW1 sites. The house is in a lovely peaceful location with great walks by the river. The house has everything you need and was very warm thanks to a superb log burner! Would visit again for sure 😊

Summary: A very spacious and comfortable gite. Great location for exploring nearby WW1 battlefilds. All amenities provided and we enjoyed our stay. The nearby bar and restaurant in Curlu is recommended and the owner is very friendly. Disappointing when advertised that internet is provided that we found we had to pay for it. Very unusual nowadays. We used the free wifi at Poppy's café in Albert. Great café and lovely food. Overall we loved our 6day stay.
