Summary: This was a great and comfy place for a large group to stay. There was beautiful bird watching from the deck and it was perfectly located between Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey for different activities.

Summary: Nick was very responsive and accommodating when our plans had to be adjusted! As some of the other reviews have said, the house has some quirks but it was perfect for us and is amazingly beautiful! Great host and frantsstic value.

Summary: This house was secluded and had great views. It was a very nice property only thing I wish they had more was more bowls in the kitchen for cooking (large bowls) but everything else was great.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the mountain house. It could have been cleaner but I imagine it’s hard to manage cobwebs being in the mountains and not having screens on all of the windows. There is no ac but the weather was beautiful!

Summary: This house had a fantastic view of the sunrise and sunset, which is very unique. There was a lot of space in the house, which was very nice for our group. One unfortunate inaccuracy was that the online description clearly listed "hot tub" as the top amenity, which was important to our group, but there was actually no hot tub on the property. We would have chosen another location had this been clearly stated in advance and we feel like we paid too much for a place without a hot tub. One more suggestion we would make is to use a different detergent on the bedding and towels because the fragrance was so strong that it was a little overwhelming when we walked in the house and when we went to shower or to sleep. The weekend was still lovely, but these 2 things would be great to address for future guests.

Summary: We had a great time at the Mountain House. The interior was a bit dated but was clean and functional. The best part was the outdoor area, with a great bbq and multiple fire pits. We were lucky and had warm weather and were able to grill and hang out in the patio.
