Positive: We stayed at Mango Lodge in Vietnam and really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the property. The common areas are beautifully designed, especially the inner garden, lounge, and restaurant, which create a very relaxed and pleasant setting. The place has a lot of charm and feels peaceful and well thought out. We also joined a community tour, which, despite being shorter than expected, turned out to be a truly beautiful and memorable experience.

Negative: The bungalow itself did not fully meet our expectations. It had two double beds, which felt unnecessary and took away from the comfort for what is essentially a stay for two people. The bathroom was quite large but felt somewhat outdated and not very inviting to use. Another point is the pricing of food and activities. The restaurant prices are closer to a luxury resort level, but the quality and consistency of the food did not always match that standard. It was not bad at all, just not in line with the pricing. The excursion we booked was also relatively expensive for what ended up being a half-day tour instead of a full day.

Summary: Beautiful setting and atmosphere, but some mismatches between price and overall experience

Positive: We were the only visitors on our one night stay, so a very bubbly and engaging waitress asked if we would like her to sing Vietnamese opera...which she did (we nicknamed her the giggling squid). Very entertaining and fun staff. The setting was stunning, the rooms wonderful.

Negative: It was a shame we were the only 2 staying there. However there was a lot of attention to our comfort during our short visit. The hotel is a part of Mango Cruises and we felt there was not the flexibility to book trips independently given the remote location. But we should have realised when we booked!

Positive: One of my favorite places in Vietnam. I really liked it here and honestly I don't understand why there are some negative reviews. The resort staff are very nice and extremely helpful. We also met the owners of the resort who live there and they are very hospitable. They helped us with advice. They organize different tours but no one forces you to go with them considering that there are many other options in the area. We had breakfast and dinner here and everything was very good. It is a very clean place where you can relax either by the pool or in the hammocks. There are many trees and plants and flowers in the resort and everything looks very well-kept. You can't even hear a motorbike. A real oasis of peace. The rooms are exactly like in the pictures and I really liked that the bathroom is with thatched roof. I think it gives the place an authenticity that you are in a tropical place. The only regret is that we didn't stay more nights.

Positive: Staff were very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was lovely. The grounds are beautiful and room was spacious and clean. The pool area is amazing.

Negative: The food and drinks are very expensive (including water which is almost double the price) and because of the location you need to travel quite far to eat elsewhere. Wifi did not reach the room so we needed to go to communal areas to use. Bicycles are not free to use - they are available to rent although the website and info book said they were free. The laundry service is extremely expensive also so I recommend finding a local place in town.

Summary: So much potential as a beautiful resort however I think the price of food/bikes/laundry perhaps is a lost opport

Positive: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! They were with us all day and provided fantastic support on our excursions. One staff member even brought us drinks to the pool! The food was amazing, from authentic Vietnamese dishes (the summer rolls were prepared right at our table) to French fries for our children. But the best part was the beautiful natural setting! The pool is surrounded by palm trees and weeping palms. There's a pond with roses, and flowers bloom everywhere in the lush garden! It was like paradise!

Summary: a hotel where you would want to stay longer!!

Positive: The environment is beautiful, it is very calm and relaxing. The breakfasts are wonderful fresh and healthy. The staff are friendly, very kind and helpful. They are all available at any time. My room was perfect, surrounded by nature and close to the pool.

Negative: It is 2 hours from HCM airport and is located at the end of a very long narrow, winding lane. As I arrived late in the evening not knowing the area I didn’t arrange the hotel buggy service which can collect from the main road. Consequently my taxi only just managed to drive his car to it. At one point he was saying he couldn’t go on and I would have to get out. Not pleasant.

Summary: It is ideal for a relaxing stay before making the long return journey back home.

Positive: Mango Home Riverside is a true little oasis. It is definitely worth staying for a few nights to soak in the atmosphere and experience life along the Mekong River. What made our stay truly special was the staff—they are incredibly friendly, caring, and attentive. We also highly recommend the small-group excursions they offer; they were fantastic and felt very authentic. Another highlight was the breakfast, especially the delicious homemade cake!

Negative: There wasn't a single negative point worth mentioning. We only hope that the team can maintain this high level of quality and hospitality in the future.
