Summary: Lovely spacious, clean 2 bed apartment. Balcony looks out over the beach (1min walk) shingle, very peaceful . Nota very friendly and helpful. Local taverna 2 mins walk and around 5 - 10 mins walk you can be in the old harbour and main sandy beach, very shallow perfect for kids, with several more restaurants, tavernas and snack bars. Also plenty of local supermarkets/ tourist shops. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: As a family of six we managed to fit nicely into this apartment, even accommodating some friends for meals and socializing. Proximity to the beach was ideal for exciteable small boys and lazy teenagers! An ideal base to explore the South East coastline and surrounding hill villages and for gorge walking. Very handy stretch of beach around the corner with restaurants serving very nice food. Thanks Nota for letting us experience Makrigialos at Easter!

Summary: "We enjoyed our stay in Crete. The house is on the southcost, very close to the sea which you can hear in the bedroom. The place was very relaxing, very friendly and cooperative house-owners, Even though it was in december, the sun was shining and the temperatures agreable (20 C.)."

Summary: "We came back for a second time in this accomodation and as in the first time, we appreciated the location quite near the beach, the room avalaible, the quietness of the place and the kindness of our guests.The appartment is perfectly equipped and furnished and not far from the heart of the village."

Summary: "We had a perfect time. The accomodation was perfect for us, and we enjoyed the possibility to try out many of the local restaurants in walking distance, and the fresh bread locally in the morning. We used the rental as a base to travel to lots of other places. If you only wanted to go to the beach it would be great, but we enjoyed visiting other places. Only my son was disappointed not to have major amenities at the local beach , but we found what they wanted hear Ierapetra and it is not far to get to the north coast which is more tourist based. We liked the fact that this area is not so tourist focused. It was quieter and the costs very reasonable."
