With beautiful thriving gardens and a superbly maintained 18m x 11m pool, the large communal area outside the front door of Villa Annie is a fabulous spot to chill out and do your own thing. Additionally, there are copious, free parasols and loungers outside of the accommodation to cater for everyone’s preference for sun or shade.
As well as being fully air conditioned, the accommodation has fly-screens throughout, with wall-to-wall hand rails and barriers on each balcony. Also, WiFi is freely available. Beach towels and a hair dryer are provided free of charge.

Summary: We enjoyed the mild autumn sun. It was still perfect for a day at the beach or a hike in the beautiful surroundings. The house and grounds were ideal.

Summary: The house itself was very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. The beds were fantastic – we all slept soundly every night. The pool area was a definite highlight, and we spent many hours lounging by the water, soaking up the sun. The little terrace on the first floor was perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink while overlooking the pool. We were initially disappointed by the garden and the top terrace, as the view wasn't quite as picturesque as we had expected based on the photos. The nearby car rental building and the noise from the AC units on the top terrace were a bit of a downside. Additionally, we did find ourselves missing a few basic kitchen appliances like a microwave and a sandwich toaster. Despite these minor drawbacks, I would still wholeheartedly recommend this rental. It was a wonderful base for our holiday, and the comfort and amenities of the house more than made up for any shortcomings. If you're looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay, this is definitely the place to be!

Summary: We've stayed in many VRBO units, and this was one of the best as it felt like home. Unit was nicely appointed, bed was very comfy, kitchen had everything we needed and then some (ice cubes and trays for making more, cold packs and a cooler bag for packing a lunch, etc.) Complex was very quiet and the pool was fabulous. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Excellent communication with the owner and the detailed driving instructions from the airport were greatly appreciated. Staff on sight were very friendly and helpful. Only negative was that the wifi wasn't appropriate for streaming, but the wide selection of movie dvds made up for it. Would highly recommend this unit.

Summary: Just back from 3 weeks at Villa Annie and simply the best villa holiday we have had, and I say this as a family that has done mainly villa holidays for the last decade. And it started from the outset, without a doubt the most proactive pre-visit engagement from our host and then the management company, including driving directions. The villa was spotless and extremely well equipped. A nice touch was the clips for using towels on deck chairs, and a cooler bag with ice blocs which we made extensive use for our daily excursions. And the kids loved the fast wifi! Absolutely no issues with the villa and it quickly felt like a home-away-from-home and we would return in a heartbeat. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, and although Gabbiano (turn right) was very good, Alliotiko (turn left) was much better value and our personal favourite. So many fantastic beaches, our favourites were Dragons Cave and Achlia Beach as deeper and better suited to snorkelling. We did visit the main beach (shallow so better suited to young kids) for the watersports and would highly recommend George's Watersports, a family run business. We also rented Quad bikes from Manolis Bikes in Agios Nikolaus who delivered the bikes to the villa and collected them at the end of the period. Again highly recommended. Overall one of our best villa holidays!

Summary: Very clean and well equipped villa in a lovely small complex. The owners have gone to great lengths to make the villa a home from home. Rosemary (complex manager) was always on hand to answer questions and provide local information. There is a good sized swimming which was very well maintained. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool which were comfortable to use. Selection of good restaurants within a few minutes walk and more within a 10 to 15 minute walk. Lovely sandy beaches are also within walking distance. We will definitely come back to this location in the future.

Summary: We, a family from Germany, spent wonderful 14 days in Villa Annie in June 2019. The holiday began at home with very nice e-mails and hints. A perfect driving directions let us find the way to the villa easily after the landing. There we were greeted very nicely by Rosemary who explained everything very well. Many thanks for Rosemary and Niko for the good care. The complex and the villa are very clean. There is really everything available what was needed, also many small things is thought, nothing was missing. It received us a dear letter in the villa. Thanks for that! Regarding the description of facility, villa and environment it meets the rating Louise V. (August 2018). We can completely confirm this to 100%. Complementary to mention is a very good wireless connection. It was a beautiful time in Crete with many lovely, hospitable and nice people. We felt very comfortable in the villa, and can 100% recommend a holiday there

Summary: This is one of the most comfortable (especially the beds) we have ever experienced. That includes Spain, Portugal, France, etc. The unit is in a strategic location within a short distance from the village. The unit has a great floor plan with kitchen and bedroom downstairs and maater/living room upstairs. This worked very well for us. Anne and Stewart were very responsive to questions. We highly recommend this unit above all on the Grapevine Villas complex.

Summary: Myself, my husband and our 3 children aged 19, 12 and 6 recently spent a wonderful 9 night holiday at Villa Annie. The owners, Anne and Stuart Fisher could not have been more helpful and even helped us to arrange local car hire. Grapevines is a small, exclusive complex of villa's situated around a large pool. The outside area and pool are kept spotlessly clean and there are plenty of sunbeds and parasols for everyone. Villa Annie itself, comprises of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a bath) a kitchen/diner leading to an outside patio area, a living room and a utility area with washing machine at the top of the villa. There are 2 balconies (one at the front of the property overlooking the pool), one at the back and also a large sun terrace on the top floor. The villa is modern, beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything required for a family holiday, even beach towels are provided. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the air conditioning was very welcome during the hot nights. There is a beautiful beach about 5 minutes walk from the villa (through the Sunwing hotel), where the sand slopes gently into the sea, making it ideal for children to play. Makry Gialos is a lovely seaside village, it is quiet, though the beach front tavernas and bars are buzzing at night. There are numerous eateries close to the villa; one of our favourites, Gabbianos, is literally next door and serves amazing home cooked food at a very reasonable price. We had a lovely holiday, staying at Villa Annie and would highly recommend this property.

Summary: The villa was very well equipped, comfortable and clean, home from home. Air con was an advantage as it was very warm. The grounds and the swimming pool are very well kept. Location is good, no car needed unless you want to explore. Would love to return.
