Positive: Ideal for Edinburgh, food was fantastic, stall were brilliant. We had an evening meal and breakfast both were excellent.

Negative: A little tired in places, but being done up.

Negative: i like a good strong cup of tea at breakfast, however, the tea was ready made up in a flask, on a side table, maybe simply make a pot of tea in the kitchen and serve it to guests with their breakfast. although this is not a major fault it could certainly be an improvement

Positive: Simple book in process and easy parking. Large room with a comfortable bed and excellent shower. Plenty of space for luggage etc. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent, hot, well cooked and tasty.

Negative: Room was a little dated and needed some modernising. Quite a few spiders webs and a fly or two to be found as well as a pair of underparts under the sink from a previous occupant! The pics on the websites make the hotel appear much more rural and country located than it is.

Summary: Very comfortable room with easy parking and well situated for town centre. Excellent breakfast and good value for money.

Positive: The service from the staff was excellent. Matthew was exceptional, we have never seen anyone multitask so brilliantly. Food was great especially the chocolate orange cake. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Garden Room and would definitely return.
